Grapes & Espresso
This elegant dish that entails a splendid blend of colours and tastes can be served as an accompaniment to an Italian meal of roast meat or poultry or as a light dessert with cheese, biscotti or polenta.
Ingredients for 2-4 persons
- 1 Tbls. olive oil
- 500g red and white grapes
- 70 ml strong Espresso
- 150 ml sweet white wine (Sauternes or Gewürztraminer)
- 3 sticks of cinnamon
- 1 Tbls. honey
- ½ Tbls. balsamic vinegar
- ½ Tbls. butter
Preparation
Heat the olive oil in a medium-sized frying pan. Add the grapes and fry for one minute. Add the espresso, white wine, cinnamon sticks and honey. Stir for two minutes and then remove from the heat. Add the vinegar and butter to the pan and stir until the butter melts. Serve hot.
